Senior Helpers vs Skilled Home Care
As a general rule the term "Senior Helpers" refers to hourly non-medical in-home supportive care services. The term "Skilled Home Care" generally refers to hourly or intermittent in-home personal care and medical services, such as skilled care. The patient receiving this type of care has a medical condition, such as recovering from surgery (wound care), chronically ill, etc. that does not warrant hospital or nursing home admission, and the patient can be of any age.
