We realize that the patient is an integral part of his/her family and community, and therefore, we as a nursing service strive to incorporate and integrate all factors related to health in assisting the patient to reach his/her optimum level of health and functioning ability in the community.
C.P.Q. Nurses accomplish this by:
- Assessment of the patient needs
(medical, physical, social, etc.) - Planning
(any and all problems in the assessment are resolved) - Implementation
(goals are set and discussed with patient) - Evaluation
(the goals are reviewed periodically and changed if necessary)
C.P.Q. Nurses' Objectives are:
- To preserve each person's worth and dignity
- To facilitate the patient's return to optimum health
- To provide a safe environment
- To identify the basic physical and psycho-social needs
- To provide teaching appropriate to each patient's needs
- To maintain an attitude receptive to social changes and advances in medicine
- To keep communications viable with all services in order to utilize their expertise in providing comprehensive patient care

(All senior helpers, home health care, and private duty cases are reviewed by
an office registered nurse periodically.)
